A special intercom system is to be installed in all new construction of JW's allowing the FDS in heaven to communicate directly with the newly chosen "princes" after Harmageddon. This will allow all new construction to address the spiritual needs of countless millions of survivors of the Great Tribulation and help to usher in the era of the resurrection. Great investment indeed!

Separation of Powers
It;s nice to be part of a club, especially where you are lead to believe that you are special. Its no different than the popular groups at school. Typically, however, from my experience, most of the people that belong to the popular groups go on to lead unhappy lives....

Still nothing credible?
by Separation of Powers ini can hardly believe that anything new is gonna be announced at the annual meeting.
i mean, there is absolutely no one i know in this organization capable of keeping a secret and we haven't heard anything but "big changes are coming" "just wait and see" "big things are in the works" and my personal favorite posted by one of our members who was told not to diassociate because "things are gonna be announced that will change your mind".. no one i know at the hall or in positions of responsibilty has ever been able to keep anything confidential.
it's always been like the character on in lving color, "i aint one to gossip...but you didn't hear that from me.".

The Gentile times have ended; their kings have had their day.
by Londo111 indear jw,.
on october 2, 1914a hundred years ago todaycharles t. russell announced, the gentile times have ended; their kings have had their day.
for almost 40 years, among other predictions for that year, 1914 had been looked to as the end of armageddon, false religion, and all governments, and the beginning of paradise on earth and the resurrection.

the be thou faithful unto death countdown card was used by some in their resolve to remain faithful to the end.

I have been associated with this organization for decades and have studied its history. I had NEVER heard of the "countdown card!" just goes to show that fatalism and this organization go hand in hand....what a joke!

Nimrod: Fact or fiction
by dugout innimrod and the tower of babel-is this history or biblical myth.
god confused their lauguges?.
sounds quite comical when you think about it.

Separation of Powers
One thing that bothers me is the fact that no where in the Bible is Nimrod mentioned in conjunction with the Tower of Babel's confusion of languages. If you are mentioning the two as if they occured in conjunction, then you are still under the control of the skewed Jehovah's Witness theology. Read the account, tell me there is credible evidence that they even remotely occured at the same time in biblical history.
The book of Genesis is notorious for jumping hundreds, if not thousands of years in a single verse....Nimrod had absolutely nothing to do with the Tower of Babel, cause it aint there.
The Tower of Babel story is proof of several things,
1) The capability of man to achieve whatever his imagination moves him to do.
2) That God is not singular...He is dualistic in his persona. (he expresses his concern with other members of the godhead)
3) God is petty and worried about big building programs, unless they are undertaken by the Watchtower organization.
